Raspberries at farmers’ market
Friday, 6 July 2012 - 1:24pm
Meanwhile, Chef Ryan in the Market Kitchen has refreshed his menu to accommodate the growing season. Along with the regular items of elk burritos, blue cheese lamb sliders, and pork apple sliders there are several new mouth-watering additions.
Try the beef dip special on a Nighswander bun, with a side of melon bacon salad or wild rice soup.
The Jack (fish) and Wild Rice Slider, with roasted pepper mayo, comes with a satisfied personal recommendation.
Last Saturday marked return of Chocolate Cow fudge to the market. This customer favourite is made in Thunder Bay and can be purchased in the Market Store area.
It comes in new irresistible flavours like Rocky Road, Oreo, and Turtle (best of luck not eating the whole block in one sitting).
The market continues to have your favourite selection on fresh produce grown by your neighbours in Rainy River District.
There is always a vast assortment of salad greens, green onions, peas, beets, new potatoes, fresh herbs, and much more.
The market, located on McIrvine Road just north of Canadian Tire, is open Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday!
