Rafferty to host town hall meetings

“Given the many strengths of our region, we should be should be able to develop a strategy over time and come up with ideas as to how the federal government can assist our regional development moving forward,” he added.
Rafferty is hopeful a diverse group of people will choose to attend the three November meetings.
“We need to hear from long-time and new residents alike who have experience in certain key industries, belong to different groups and organizations, or simply have strong opinions about where we should be going,” he remarked.
The meeting in Fort Frances will start at 6 p.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous.
There also will be similar meetings in Atikokan on Nov. 9 and in Thunder Bay on Nov. 15.

Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty is pleased to announce a series of town hall meetings, including one in Fort Frances on Thursday, Nov. 12, to discuss issues related to future economic development in Northwestern Ontario.
In making the announcement, Rafferty said the meetings are meant to be a proactive, forward-looking, and positive exercise for the community.
