Solemn salute

Ron Parkes, president of the Canadian Vietnam Veterans Association, saluted by the grave of Cpl. Ivan Broeffle in the Emo Cemetery during the playing of the Canadian and American national anthems on Saturday. The ceremony was held to dedicate the marker that’s now been placed on Broeffle’s grave 41 years after he was killed while serving in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army.
