The local men’s basketball league will tip off Monday, Nov. 24 and organizer Ryan Anderson said new players are always welcome.
“We’re always looking for new people to come out and play,” he remarked. “We’ve had open scrimmages the last four weeks or so, and if there’s new people out there who are interested, we’ll have a sign-up on Nov. 17 at our open scrimmage [that night].”
The cost is $50 per person for the season, which covers the costs for referees and scorekeepers who give the league a professional feel.
The league consists of four teams, one of which is the Muskie senior boys’ squad. Games are held each Monday at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Each team plays a 14-game schedule with rotating match-ups each week.
