FORT FRANCES, Ont. — The 19-year-old son of a Fort Frances, Ont., woman who was found dead in her home on New Year’s Day has been arrested.
Jamie Dawyduk faces two counts of assault causing bodily harm, one count of mischief and one count of breach of probation.
Police say the charges relate to an alleged incident involving his parents at their home the day before the body of Barbara Dawyduk was discovered.
Police have not indicated if the alleged assault played any part in the death of the 50-year-old woman.
A post mortem examination was conducted on Saturday in Hamilton, but a cause of death has not yet been released.
Jamie Dawyduk has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on February 10th. (CFOB)
