Kid-Pro registration

For all you young anglers out there, today and tomorrow is your only chance to sign up for this year’s Kid-Pro tournament slated July 22 in conjunction with the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.
Open to kids aged 10-14, those interested can sign up at the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce office on Scott Street (across from Safeway).
They must be accompanied by an adult.
Since there is a limited number of entries, names will be drawn from among the entries on Sunday, July 1 and published in the Fort Frances Times on Wednesday, July 4.
The event, created by Bill Morgenstern and Rick Socholotuk in 1997, gives children the chance to spend the day learning the ins and outs of bass fishing with teams entered in the FFCBC.
“This event is a great way for kids to learn about fishing from people who really know,” Socholotuk stressed. “You really can’t beat this type of firsthand experience.
The kids get the chance to learn from experts and there really is nothing better than that..”
