Area Liberals attend convention

Press Release

Thunder Bay-Rainy River federal Liberal delegates Ken Boshcoff, Wayne Tocheri, Lorna Sutherland, Dan Morrisseau, Gary Lipinski, and Douglas Judson attended the biennial convention of the Liberal Party of Canada on April 30-May 2 in Vancouver.
“I [was] very excited by the spirited discussions taking place at the convention among Liberals from across the country,” said Boshcoff.
“Under the leadership of Michael Ignatieff, the Liberal party is making great strides to renew itself internally and enhance its policy objectives to better serve Canada,” he added.
Delegates voted on resolutions with respect to party governance, as well as policy resolutions in relation to important issues facing rural Canada, aboriginal Canadians, seniors, agriculture, and natural resources.
“I am continuing to provide a voice for Northwestern Ontario in Liberal policy development,” noted Boshcoff.
“The Liberal party is the only party that can effectively champion the needs of our riding,” he argued.
Most notably, Liberals voted on an amendments to increase grassroots engagement and modernize participation in party initiatives.
“The Liberal party is back, and ready to form the next government of Canada,” Boshcoff enthused.
