The Muskie golf team finished in fifth place at the NWOSSAA championships last Tuesday in Thunder Bay.
Kendyn Faragher and Kaleb Bruyere led the black-and-gold with rounds of 46 for the one-day tournament, which was shortened to nine holes due to the weather.
Cole Kowalski and Mikel Ward were next at 47, with Aiden Wielinga carding a 52.
Rounding out the Fort High crew was Matthew Gerstner at 56.
Cory Pharand of Westfort (Thunder Bay) topped the individual boys' standings with a 37.
Dryden's Jacob Lugli was second (38).
St. Ignatius topped the team standings with a total of 164, followed by St. Patrick (168) and Churchill (173).
The Dryden Eagles were next at 176, followed by Fort High (186), St. Thomas Aquinas of Kenora (197), and Lake Superior (224).
For the girls, Lindy Leclerc of the Eagles took NWOSSAA gold with a round of 55.

The Rainy River Community College women's volleyball team defeated Fond du Lac 3-1 on Friday in Cloquet.
Serving was a highlight of the match as former Muskie Chelsea Kabatay, along with El Wilform and Karli Phillips, all had six aces.
The Voyageurs are 7-10 overall and 4-6 in the North Division of the MCAC.
RRCC next faces Vermilion in Ely this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
