The Muskie senior boys' volleyball team kept alive its chances for NorWOSSA gold.
The black-and-gold advanced to the league final after downing the Dryden Eagles 3-1 in their semi-final match yesterday morning in Kenora.
After dropping the opening set 25-20, the Muskies stormed back to take the next three by scores of 25-21, 25-20, and 25-19.
Fort High faced the host Broncos later Tuesday, with a berth at the NWOSSAA championship on the line (the outcome was not known as of press time).
But the Muskie senior girls' volleyball team saw its season end with a 28-20 semi-final loss to the Dryden Eagles yesterday in Kenora.
The Eagles advanced to face the host Broncos in the final later in the day for the right to advance to NWOSSAA.
Meanwhile, the Muskie junior girls' basketball team, who went undefeated in regular-season play, faced Kenora in the NorWOSSA final yesterday (the outcome was not known as of press time).
The Broncos nipped the Eagles 33-32 in the semi-final earlier yesterday.
The Muskie junior boys' volleyball team also faced host Kenora in yesterday's final after the Broncos beat the Eagles 3-1 in their semi-final clash earlier in the day.
There is no NWOSSAA competition at the junior level.
