The Muskie court sports teams faced some mixed results against the host Dryden Eagles on Thursday afternoon and came away with a split in their NorWOSSA league games.
The senior boys' basketball team improved to a league-best 4-0 with a decisive 61-35 win over the Eagles.
Mike Vanderaa led the black-and-gold with a 16-point performance while Wyatt Richards chipped in with 14 points.
Dominic States scored 12 points while Sean huziak added 10.
The junior squad suffered its first loss of the season, however, dropping a 49-41 decision to see their league record fall to 3-1.
In girls' volleyball action, meanwhile, the Muskie seniors improved to a league-best 4-0 with a 2-1 win over the Eagles.
The set scores were 25-22, 18-25, and 25-23.
But it was a different story for the juniors as they were swept 2-0 by the Eagles to see their record fall to 3-1.
Dryden won by set scores of 25-16 and 25-15.
Both Muskie basketball teams were slated to compete at the annual Falcon Invitational Tournament in Thunder Bay over the weekend, but the results weren't known as of press time today.
All four Muskie court sports teams will resume NorWOSSA action this Thursday when they host the Kenora Broncos at Fort High starting at 4 p.m.
