With first place in the bag, the Muskie boys’ hockey team has its eyes on another impressive feat: an undefeated regular season.
The black-and-gold took another step towards that goal with a 9-1 romp over of the host Kenora Broncos in NorWOSSA action last night.
Fort High (12-0) used Kaden Nelson’s first career hat trick as a Muskie to kick off a stretch of four games in four days to conclude the regular season.
Byron Stewart, Mike Drouin, Cole Allan, Brent Jourdain, Sheldon Kelly Jr., and Landon Woods also tallied against Broncos’ goalie Kody Huber.
Eric Pitkanen registered four assists.
Matt Booth earned the win in goal as the Muskies led 4-0 after the first period and 7-0 through two against Kenora (2-11).
Fort High is back in Kenora tonight to face the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (9-4) before returning home to play the Broncos again tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the ’52 Canadians Arena.
