For those who love golfing, or for anyone who just wants to have a good time, the Lions clubs of Rainy River District will be holding their “Lions Legacy Golf Tournament” on Saturday, July 29 beginning at 9 a.m. at Kitchen Creek.
Lions around the world are celebrating their 100th anniversary and this tournament is the local clubs' contribution to the celebrations.
There will be a chance to win a car with a hole-in-one on a hole to be determined in the coming weeks, as well as putting contests, driving contests, and other fun contests (prizes for all).
The entry fee is $100 each or $400 for a team of four, which includes 18 holes of golf, use of a cart, and a fantastic supper.
The tournament will feature a best ball format, with entries limited to the first 36 paid teams.
All proceeds will go to district charities such as KidSport, Special Olympics, the “Community Chest,” and the Emo and District Medical Fund.
