Lakers make roster moves

The Fort Frances Lakers announced two roster moves this morning.
Forward Blue Hayler has been released and will return to the Richmond (Va.) Generals of the United States Premier Hockey League, a Tier III junior circuit.
Hayler, a 19-year-old from Missoula, Mont., had no points in two games for the Lakers after spending the last two season with the Generals.
Lakers’ GM Wayne Strachan said a trade with another SIJHL team involving Hayler was set to be announced before Hayler advised him he was heading back to Richmond.
Meanwhile, forward Josh Brunton was dealt to the Dryden GM Ice Dogs for future considerations.
Brunton, an 18-year-old native of Dryden, was held pointless in his only game with the Lakers.
“This move we hope will enable Josh to get regular playing time, as he had only seen action in one game this far for us into the early season,” noted Strachan.
