'Holly Daze' set for Emo

The annual “Holly Daze” festivities take place this Friday and Saturday (Dec. 1-2) in Emo.

Be sure to take part in all the fun this weekend.

The annual parade goes Friday evening. It will leave Donald Young School at 6 p.m. and work its way to Front Street, finishing at the Golden Age Manor.

The lighting of the Christmas tree and fireworks will follow, with the Emo rec council providing hot chocolate and cookies during the evening.

Then on Saturday, you can get your kids' pictures taken with Santa from 1-3 p.m. at the Emo Legion.

Please bring your own camera and a donation for the Emo food bank.

The Emo Legion also will hold its “Crafts Galore” and soup-and-sandwich event both Friday and Saturday.

Also be sure to stop by several businesses for great deals, as well as to enter the draw for two $250 gift certificates.

Hats off to everyone in Emo who make this a fun-filled event every year.

Robin's 2¢:

According to my weight-to-height ratio, I should be nine feet, four inches tall.

So my weight is OK. It's my height that's the problem!
