Work continues at the future site of the Ge-Da-Gi Binez Youth Centre on Eighth Street, with the aim to be fully operational April 1. The new 12-bed youth justice facility will be managed by Pwi-Di-Goo-Zing Ne-Yaa-Zhing Advisory Services, which, in turn, will utilize resource organizations (such as the Seven Generations Educational Institute, Weechi-it-te-win Family Services, Fort Frances Tribal Area Health Services, Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre, and William W. Creighton Youth Services from Thunder Bay) to provide programming and support for youths in the facility. It will employ roughly 40 full-time and casual employees.
