After riding for five miles Tom Batiuk faced very soft snow drifts and slush. As he approached Greyhound Island, he encountered deep slush and his wife’s snowmobile got stuck completely. At this point, Batiuk decided to leave the snowmobile overnight and retrieve it the following day.
