Katrina Slomke from the Muskie girls' curling team showed some serious style leaving the hack during the Fort's game against the Sioux Lookout Warriors at the NorWOSSA finals last night at the Fort Frances Curling Club. The Muskie girls are 3-0 after a 10-1 victory against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints in Draw 3 this morning, and with a win over the Rainy River Owls in this afternoon's draw, can clinch gold and a spot in the NWOSSAA finals here on Feb. 27-28. The Fort boys are also 3-0 to already nab an NWOSSAA berth and can also claim gold by beating Rainy River this afternoon. In the mixed division, the black-and-gold pulled out a 7-5 win over previously unbeaten Sioux Lookout to move to 2-1. With a win against St. Thomas Aquinas this afternoon, they can clinch an NWOSSAA spot and also set up a gold-medal tiebreaker against the Warriors today at 3 p.m.
