Sheared alpacas

sheared alpacas

Two alpacas got a fancy hair cut on Saturday after Garrick Reimer travelled through the district to shear some animals for local farmers. These alpacas (named “Evan” and “Esther”) look dramatically different after their shaven wool filled up a couple of burlap sacks. While some breeds of sheep will shed their fleece, alpacas do not, requiring a little bit of help with their mobility, cleanliness, and body temperature in the summer months.
