Chase McGuire looked to get a shot on net from a sharp angle during the Muskie boys’ hockey team’s 3-2 win over the General Amherst Bulldogs (Amherstburg) yesterday morning at the OFSAA ‘A/AA’ championship in Ottawa. Fort High dumped the St. Joseph Jaguars (Nepean) 10-4 this morning to finish atop Pool ‘C’ with a 3-1 record and advance to the quarter-finals this afternoon against the Lockerby Vikings (Sudbury). It was a different story for the Muskie girls’ team, which was relegated to the consolation quarter-finals this afternoon after finishing in fourth place in their pool (0-3). Meanwhile, the Muskie boys’ curling rink also is into the quarter-finals this afternoon at the OFSAA championships in North Bay as the No. 2 seed in Pool ‘D.’ As for the Muskie girls’ rink, they needed to win their final round-robin game, and also get help from Markham, to advance to the quarter-finals tonight.
