Jada Eide’s piece of art was selected by local judges as the winning entry from Robert Moore School in the Fort Frances Lions Club’s annual peace poster contest This year’s theme was “Children Know Peace,” with entries judged on originality, artistic merit, and expression of the theme. First runner-up for Robert Moore was Chelsea Beyak, the second runner-up was Vanessa Therriault, and third runner-up was Judy Wu. Also tops at their respective schools were Alyssa Chaisson (St. Francis), Rachel Ward (J.W. Walker), and Gemma Friesen (Crossroads). Each of four top posters now will be sent on for further judging at the district level.
