Students from Sturgeon Creek School got a lesson in cleaning and preparing walleye from William Perrault yesterday during the Seven Generations Education Institute’s annual “Fall Harvest” preparations workshop at the Nanicost grounds here. The event teaches many traditional skills, such as preparing wild rice, cooking bannock, and tanning hides, as well as offering lessons on story-telling and drumming. The “Fall Harvest” continues tomorrow and the public is welcome to attend.
