The flower gardens at the Fort Frances Museum now are sporting knitted poppies and photos of 10 district soldiers from this area known to be among the 1,975 Canadians who served in Hong Kong during WWII. “Hong Kong and Beyond—Treatment of Allied PoWs held by the Japanese in the Second World War” is the new exhibit on the main floor of the museum.Written and compiled by Service Officer Marjorie Stintzi of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #54 in Rainy River, it will run through October.
