Laurel Halvorsen helped her great-niece, Elena Bottomley, plant tulip bulbs on the east side of the Fort Frances Public Library on Friday morning as part of Ontario Public Library Week festivities. A small group of volunteers joined to plant the special bulbs that, come spring, will bloom red and white to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017.
