Krista Nielson, with the Northwestern Health Unit, held onto the Crimson King maple tree as students from Carla Harris’ and John Cousineau’s Grade 1 classes at St. Michael’s School took turns helping to cover the roots with dirt Friday morning. The students were participating in the “Grow With Me” program, which promotes sun safety. By planting a tree at the school, there will be more shade on the playground.
