Muskie senior spiker Chelsea Hill tried to get the ball past two members of the St. Ignatius Falcons (Thunder Bay) during Game 2 of the best-of-three NWOSSAA playoffs here Saturday morning. After taking the opener Friday afternoon in four sets, the Falcons won Game 2 by that same margin to advance to the OFSAA ‘AA’ championship March 8-9 in Ottawa. Meanwhile, the Muskie senior boys’ basketball squad was swept in their best-of-three NWOSSAA series in Thunder Bay by the host Superior Gryphons, who punched their ticket to the OFSSA ‘AA’ showdown March 7-9 in North Bay. Fort High gave up a buzzer-beating three-pointer to lose 38-36 on Friday afternoon before falling 38-35 on Saturday morning.
