Grade 6 students Maria Ball and Amber Townsen held up the boxes they made by reusing old magazines during “Earth Hour” activities at St. Francis School last Thursday. Since they weren’t in session during the real “Earth Hour” on Saturday night, many area schools took the time during the school day to turn out their lights.
