Second-graders Maria Gilbert and Eric Pitkanen, members of the environmental club at J.W. Walker School, showed on a town map where they will be cleaning on Earth Day (April 22). The club is encouraging the community to help in the Earth Day clean-up by collecting trash around their neighbourhoods or businesses. Those willing to participate are asked to e-mail Walker’s environmental club at walkerearthday@live.com, which will keep track of the areas being cleaned.
