Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung heritage interpreter Casey Oster showed some bloodroot during a tour of the lands. If the roots of the plant are broken, they bleed out a red-coloured sap. Usually it was used for dyes and paints but also has anti-inflammatory properties. Bloodroot is one of the many plants grown on the grounds with medicinal value.
