On Sept. 20 around 6:10 p.m., two members of the Rainy River District OPP conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Portage Avenue in response to a traffic complaint.
Officers spoke with the driver, and commenced an investigation.
As a result, a 26-year-old Fort Frances man was charged with failure to comply with a recognizance and driving while under suspension.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 29.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old Big Grassy First Nation woman was arrested on warrants for failing to attend court, three counts of breach of probation, and theft under $5,000.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 5.
Back on Sept. 15 around 4:55 a.m., a member of the Rainy River District OPP conducted a vehicle stop on Scott Street in Fort Frances.
A female passenger in the vehicle provided a false name to officers.
Further investigation revealed her true identity.
As a result, a 28-year-old Seine River First Nation woman was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a recognizance and personation with intent.
She was held in custody pending a court appearance this past Friday in Fort Frances.
