The 300 block of Second Street is finally open.
Landscaping and signage removal is now ongoing at the site, but the roadway was re-opened yesterday.
“All the curb and gutter has been installed, including driveway aprons, all roadway granular 'A' base material has been placed, compacted, and graded,” Facilities and Operations manager Travis Rob said during Monday evening's council meeting.
“The binder course asphalt was placed primarily on Saturday with last areas paved today and in addition to that, Daryl's Custom Landscapes has been on site all day today completing the placement of top soil behind the curbs in preparation for sod.”
Meanwhile, Erin Crescent will have Bay City Contractors on site this week for the installation of storm and sewer infrastructure.
“Our surveyor crews were on site last week completing the remaining survey works for the lots and easements,” Rob noted.
