Staff, residents and guests welcomed Canada’s birthday a day early with singing, dancing and a delicious BBQ of burgers, brats, corn on the cob, pasta salad, broccoli salad, fresh fruit cup and birthday cake.
The “Rainycrest Four” entertained through lunch, causing many to leave their meal and hit the dance floor. An antique car show on the back parking lot brought back many good old memories. It was a fun “Happy Birthday Canada” from Rainycrest!
Then on Monday, “Elvis” (Daylin James) visited Hallett Hall and gave a rousing performance of songs made famous in the ’50s and ’60s. It was a toe-tapping sing along.
“Elvis” had performed the previous evening at the Copper River Inn, and volunteered his time to share his music with residents and staff. It was a show
“direct from Las Vegas.”
Come and visit ... there are residents there with stories to share; buy a trinket or an ice cream from the Tuck Shop, and remember—Rainycrest accepts donations of good, clean used clothing to support the fight against diabetes.
