Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Patrick Brown is touring Northwestern Ontario as part of the official opposition’s northern caucus retreat.
His tour began this morning with a meeting with the owner of Odena Foods in Kakabeka Falls to discuss the impact of skyrocketing hydro rates.
He then was expected to meet with the Atikokan Economic Development Corp. for a round-table discussion on northern issues.
Brown was scheduled to meet with Fort Frances town council at the Civic Centre this afternoon to discuss local issues, followed by a meeting with Couchiching Chief Brian Perrault.
Brown’s tour also is expected to include stops in Emo and Rainy River First Nations before culminating with members of the Ontario PC caucus gathering in Kenora for a meeting.
This will mark Brown’s 21st visit to the region over the last two years.
