On Jan. 31, members of the Fort Frances Fire & Rescue Service responded to a motor-vehicle crash here involving two trucks.
Gavin Payne and Wayne Riches utilized a Hurst eDRAULIC combination tool to remove the driver’s side door of a truck where a person was trapped.
Fort Frances Fire & Rescue team members then assisted paramedics with the removal of the person.
Both Payne and Riches are full-time members of the Fort Frances Fire & Rescue Service, and have been recognized by Hurst Jaws of Life.
They were awarded the world-renowned Green Cross Award, which acknowledges these two professionals for the successful rescue with a Hurst Jaws of Life rescue tool.
