Mark LaBelle will perform at the final barn concert of the season at Cornell Farms in La Vallee, which is set for tomorrow (Aug. 23) beginning at 7:30 p.m.
LaBelle has been performing musical comedy for more than 25 years throughout Canada and the U.S.
His ingenious ability to raise the energy in the room, while disarming and relaxing his audience, creates an atmosphere of clean comedy fun.
At Cornell Farms, LaBelle will be performing his one-man show, “Musicomica.”
His repertoire includes rock and roll, classical, country, pop, nostalgia, and comedy—and audience participation comes alive with his energy and humour.
The audience is not just watching the show, they're part of it.
Kim Cornell is encouraging everyone to come out to this unique show.
“I met Mark at the Kenora farmers' market, where's he's decided to settle down after a career of travelling,” Cornell noted.
“We are lucky to have such a talent performing at Cornell Farms.”
LaBelle has been called “a Raffi for adults,” and performs vocal impressions of Johnny Cash, Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot, Louis Armstrong, Kenny Loggins, and David Bowie.
Every song has some sort of comedic element.
LaBelle has been described as a comedian, motivator, musician, singer, satirist, and rabble-rouser. As such, this will be an energetic and engaging show for the young at heart.
Expect to laugh, sing, participate, and enjoy!
Tickets cost $15 in advance, available at the Fort Frances Public Library, Tompkins Hardware in Emo, and Cornell Farms, as well as electronically at Eventbrite.ca
They cost $20 at the door.
