Chess tourney draws big numbers


Crossroads School in Devlin hosted its annual chess tournament last Tuesday, with a total of 110 students participating from Donald Young School, the Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program, Robert Moore School, and Crossroads.

The top finishers in the age eight-and-under division were James Gagne, Jonah Homer, and Nicolas Pattison.

Rex Tolton took first place in the age nine-10 division while Jude Edwards captured top spot in the age 11-12 division.

And in the age 13-14 division, the top honours went to Jada Boshey, Gabe Gunderson, and Tyson Farmer.
