Creating a path forward for tourism development and marketing in Fort Frances has been the focus of the town's Municipal Accommodation Tax Committee as of late.
Rynic Consulting was recently hired by the town to assist in the development of these plans and spent a few days last week working with the committee.
Coun, John McTaggart said the committee brainstormed potential avenues related to tourism retention in Fort Frances, which is getting travellers to stop and enjoy the community, instead of just driving through it.
“This actually dove tales in timing very nicely with the study of the Shevlin Wood Yard and its wonderful possibilities and opportunities,” he explained.
The Municipal Accommodation Tax Committee has been working with the RRFDC and will flush out plans going forward.
