A number of service degradation issues that arose on Nov. 15 for some of Tbaytel’s land line telephone customers primarily have been resolved as a result of efforts made by Tbaytel technicians.
Some customers, both business and residential, in Fort Frances and Thunder Bay were experiencing one-way audio or a loss of dial tone, which resulted in the inability to complete calls.
Tbaytel technicians since have made service improvements, which have alleviated both of these issues.
However, a small segment of customers still may be experiencing degraded call quality or intermittent voice “garbling” on calls.
Technicians are monitoring the issue and continue their work to alleviate any remaining service degradation issues customers may be experiencing.
