Category:

For everyone looking forward to “spring,” there's some sure signs in the air that it's coming.

Registration for Emo Youth Soccer—open to boys and girls from pre-school to Grade 8—continues tomorrow (March 9) from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Emo-La Vallee Community Centre.

The cost is $45 for kids in JK-Grade 8 and $30 for pre-schoolers. A late payment fee of $5 applies after March 10.

Space is limited.

Soccer will be played at the Emo Sports Field on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. from May 2-June 22 (weather permitting).

For more information, contact the Emo municipal office at 482-2378 or via e-mail at township@emo.ca

Sympathy is extended to Lois Caul on the passing of her sister, Marg Weatherbee, as well as to the many other relatives that will miss her.

Marg was a dynamic, feisty lady who lived to enjoy life right up to the age of 92. In fact, she was at Trudy's retirement party just this past fall.

She will be missed by many both here and in Thunder Bay.

Pam Bujold recently had a bad fall and broke her wrist. Our community sends her best wishes for a speedy recovery—and patience to be able to slow down and “do nothing" that you're told not to do (which we all know will be difficult for our very own "Energizer Bunny”).

The next “Country Jam” at the Emo Legion will be held Friday, March 24.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Robin's 2¢:

I'm not sure where some people learned their “inside voice.”

But I think it's safe to assume it was inside a helicopter surrounded by running chainsaws.
