Daylight Savings Time takes place Sunday, March 8. It’s always a wise choice to “spring your clocks” ahead Saturday evening before going to bed. The hour of extra daylight is always a welcome sign that spring is near.

Another sure sign of spring is the annual Guthrie United Church Spring Fling. This Tea and Bake Sale takes place Saturday, March 24 this year. The event will be held at the Devlin Hall from 2-3:30 p.m.

Draws will begin at 3 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults, $2 for youth 6-12 years and 5 and under are free.

Desserts, Penny Table, a Bake Table, and a Cookie Walk will all make this a fun way to spend your afternoon.

Bingo takes place at the Emo Legion this Tuesday and Beer and Burger for $5 will be served Friday evening.
