The Rainy River District OPP has completed more than 160 R.I.D.E. checks between Nov. 27 and Dec. 22.
Officers have laid four impaired driving charges and issued three three-day driver’s licence suspension.
Two people also were arrested on outstanding warrants while several drivers were charged under the Highway Traffic Act during that span.
The R.I.D.E. checks will continue until the end of the campaign Jan. 7.
If you suspect someone is driving impaired, call 9-1-1.
It could prevent innocent lives being lost.
