Mother's Day is this Sunday. and there are two events to taking place to celebrate this special day!
The Guthrie and Knox United Churches will be hosting a walleye supper on Sunday. The meal will be walleye, homemade french fries, coleslaw, baked beans and dessert.
The cost is $18 for adults, $10 for children between six and 12 years, and free for kids five and under.
Come out and enjoy a delicious meal and great camaraderie.
There will be a St. Patrick's Mother's Day Tea on Saturday (May 11) from 1-3 p.m.
Draws, baking and plants will be for sale, as well as religious articles. Excellent Mother's Day gifts.
Everyone is invited to join this event.
The annual “Marzie Days” will be held May 25 at the residence of Barb and Alf Redford (Grandma and Grandpa) Redford (Fire #1213, Hwy. 613).
Plants, food booth, a bake sale and door prizes make up this fun event.
The lucky winner of the April's Emo Legion 50/50 draw was Sharon McLeod she won $585. The ticket seller was Joan Buttazoni.
All tickets for the Taw Concert are sold out and tickets will not be available at the door.
The annual TOPS 3019 Salad Supper is being held Monday, May 27 at the Devlin Hall. The dinner will served at 6 p.m.
Adults $15, six-12 years old pay $8, and children five and under eat free.
There will be a hugh variety of fresh salads, baked beans, buns, dessert salads and all the fixings.
The Devlin Little League still has openings for youth four-six years, 10-12 years 13-15 years old. The seven-nine year-old division is filled. Call Leeann at the municipal office (486-3452).
Hats off to the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society and all volunteers for the dynamic success of “Hawaiian Night.”
This event was held Saturday. All monies raised will be for updates for the buildings at the fair grounds.
