During the early-morning hours of Jan. 10, officers from the North Caribou Lake Police and the OPP responded to a disturbance at a residence in North Caribou Lake First Nation.
A subject allegedly broke into a residence and assaulted one of the residents in the home.
The subject then fled from officers but was located a short time after and proceeded to resist arrest.
A 42-year-old Emo, Ont. man is charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon, mischief (three counts), resisting arrest, and failing to comply with recognizance.
He remained in custody pending his next scheduled appearance today (Jan. 15) in Sioux Lookout bail court.
