It's winter and that can mean wanting to hibernate. But the Emo Legion always has a large number of activities to take part in.
Cribbage is played there every Wednesday at 7 p.m., with the cost being $5/player (a light snack is provided).
Meanwhile, seniors' carpet bowling goes Thursdays at 9 a.m., followed by a lunch.
In related news, the Legion's monthly 50/50 draw was held there on Friday (Feb. 2).
The lucky winner was Marg Heyens, who took home $600.50
The most recent “Catch the Ace” weekly draw also was held at the Emo Legion this past Friday.
David Kaemingh was the winner, pocketing $420, but he did not claim the progressive pot as the envelope he chose did not contain the ace of spade.

I always will remember Rose as a hard-working women who always had a smile.
Rose was a T.O.P.S. member with many of us always will remember her enthusiasm and determination. A great lady!
Sympathy, as well, to the stepchildren and wife (Helen) of Edwin L. Nelson.
We send caring thoughts to Gene, Murray, Ed, and Lyal Carlson and stepdaughters, Laurie, Debbie, and Karen.
A happy 70th birthday to Gaydonna Baker. May you enjoy many more!
And I'm sure you will with your commitment to fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
I recently was told this by a husband:
You women may be surprised to learn that making us sleep on the couch isn't that bad.
It kinda makes us feel manly, like we're camping—with a really angry bear nearby!
