The Br. #29 Legion Ladies' Auxiliary met on May 10 with 35 members in attendance.
The charter was draped in memory of Gladys Martin and Mary Clinker who combined had an amazing 116 years as auxiliary members.
Four new members were welcomed by president Alfreda Easton, including Dianne Krawchuk, Mary Cooper, Wilna Myers and Cindy Noble. Welcome ladies.
Committee reports were read and dealt with.
The annual Veterans' Night was held on May 6, and was enjoyed by all who attended.
A reminder: the Legion Peace Gardens Sport camps applications are now out. These are available at all schools and the Legion.
The auxiliary will be sending eight delegates to the 48th Biennial Convention being held this June in Winnipeg.
The new chairs are in and it is thanks to all the community support for our first ever gala held in February. We were able to get these much needed chairs.
It is the auxiliary's 90th anniversary this May and to celebrate there will be a special monthly supper on Friday, May 26, with Chicken Oscar on the menu. Roasted potatoes, vegetables, salad, buns, with cake and ice cream for dessert. All for $15 a plate.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. A 50/50 draw will be drawn that evening (Lottery Lic. #M778065). Come out and help us celebrate or take outs are available for pick up—just phone 274-3772.

The attendance draw was won by Linda Larocque, the birthday draw winner was Gloria Bergner, and Vicki Jewell won the 50/50 draw (Lottery Lic.#M778065).
The next meeting will be a potluck held June 14 at 6 p.m. with a meeting to follow at 7 p.m. in the Legion hall.
