The Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary is celebrating their 2019/2020 capital equipment pledges made to the Riverside Foundation for Health Care.
Included in the pledges are three new dining room tables for the cafeteria valued at $1,212.05 that were enjoyed at the Annual Shamrock Tea held on March 13.
These much needed tables were used to replace outdated, unsafe tables and allow individuals in wheelchairs and with walkers to easily maneuver around them.
Also purchased was an ice machine dispenser for the Emo Health Centre valued at $5,917.91 and privacy curtains for patient rooms valued at $4,984.73. These curtains allow staff to attend to patients with privacy and care.
With the completion of these pledges, along with their 2018/2019 pledges for two spirit beds ($25,000) and an automatic door opener for the gazebo ($2,500), the Auxiliary has donated close to $40,000 for equipment to the Foundation in the past year.
The Auxiliary continues to raise funds through their annual teas, raffles of generously donated items, in memoriam funds and through monetary donations from the public. Tickets are available for their current raffle of a handmade queen size quilt donated by Cabin Country Quilt Guild from Auxiliary members, Gillon's Insurance in Emo, the Hair & Body Care Shoppe and in the Emo Hospital Dining Room.
