On Saturday at noon, Rainy River District OPP officers received a complainant regarding a motor vehicle in Fort Frances.
A citizen reporting he saw a hit-and-run in the east end of town, with the driver failing to remain at the scene.
Officers located the vehicle on the 200 block of Church Street.
The driver, a 39-year-old Rainy River woman, was arrested and taken to OPP detachment for breath tests.
The vehicle, meanwhile, was towed from the scene and impounded for the mandatory seven days.
The driver subsequently was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusing to provide a breath sample, and failure to comply with probation.
She also was issued two charges under the Highway Traffic Act and one under the Liquor Licence Act.
She is scheduled to appear in court here on Dec. 11.
