Shortly after 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, the Rainy River District OPP was called regarding a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 11 near Atikokan—nearly causing two head-on collisions.
The vehicle was located a short time later.
Officers stopped the vehicle and conducted an investigation.
As a result, a 35-year-old Fort Frances woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having a blood alcohol level over .08 mg.
She will appear in court Aug. 3 in Atikokan.
The woman also was charged with driving while under suspension.
She will appear in Provincial Offences court in Atikokan on July 28 for that charge.
