On Feb. 4 around at 12:50 p.m., Rainy River District OPP officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 11 east of Fort Frances.
Officers located the motor vehicle within the Town of Fort Frances.
The driver, a 31-year-old Thunder Bay man, was showing signs of impairment.
He was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment for breath tests while the vehicle was impounded for the mandatory seven days.
The driver subsequently was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary and driving with a blood alcohol level of more than 80 mg.
He also was charged with several Highway Traffic Act infractions.
He will appear in court here March 7.
