Admission is free but those attending are invited to make a free-will donation to the Emo food bank.
The kiddie parade will follow at 11 a.m., with the route going from the Emo Health Centre to Lions Park, where some great prizes will be handed out.
Meanwhile, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., the public is invited to meet Emo's Fire and Emergency Services members and “Sparky” the Fire Dog.
At noon, food vendors will be open at the Lions Park. At the same time under the big tent at the tennis courts, the opening ceremonies for the “Canada 150” celebration will take place.
As well, the winners of the poster contest, the home/business decorating contest, and the kiddie parade will be announced.
Join your friends and family in the singing of “O Canada” and enjoying some birthday cake.
Then from 1-4 p.m., a variety of inflatables for the kids will be set up at Lions Park and the water park will be open.
There will be dancing and games with Party Rock under the big tent from 1-5 p.m.
A 2.5-km “Colour Run” will start at 3:30 p.m., with the entry fee being $10.
