The Nipigon River bridge on Highway 11/17 was re-opened to a single lane of traffic this morning.
Police received a report around 3:15 p.m. yesterday that the bridge had lifted, blocking traffic.
Police arrived on scene and noted the west side of the bridge had lifted about 60 cm.
No injuries or vehicle damage occurred as a result of this incident.
The bridge was closed to vehicle traffic yesterday, but then was re-opened to a single lane this morning.
The bridge remains open to pedestrian traffic.
The Ministry of Transportation and BOT Construction remain on scene conducting repairs to the bridge.
The public is asked not to call the OPP Communication Centre for road closure information but to listen to local media for updates.
People also can call 5-1-1 for road closure information.
